Matthew Willis

Matthew Willis has more than 13 years of energy industry and academic experience. Most recently, he was manager of business development for Monterey Bay Community Power. He also served as the director of business & project development for a midstream oil and gas firm, where he managed the construction of the first waterside marine LNG bunkering terminal in the United States.

Matt has structured unique businesses in the energy space that include LNG, wind, IoT services, connected buildings, energy-as-a-service models, and go-to-market models for microgrids. Formerly a research scientist, Matt has worked on projects ranging from sea level rise effects on Kennedy Space Center launch pad infrastructure to CO2 studies in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests. He has a B.S. in earth studies and an M.S. in renewable energy from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
