Lessons Learned on How to Stimulate Productive Uses of Energy in the Mini-Grid Sector
The provision of electricity provides huge opportunities for economic development, but rarely does this happen organically. Interventions are needed to stimulate new or improved productive activities, which can increase both electricity demand and livelihood opportunities. This presentation will discuss lessons learnt from Practical Action's experience in the mini-grid sector across Africa and South Asia, including working with private minigrid companies as an implementing partner of the Green Mini Grid (GMG) Facility in Kenya.
