Africa GreenTec is a German social enterprise for renewable energy solutions. Our holistic product ImpactSite® combines sustainable power production and distribution through smart mini-grids with efficient technologies for cooling, water purification, field irrigation and internet access. Because 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa have no access to electricity, 54% of the population has no access to clean water and 75% have no internet access. 40% of crop yields are lost due to a lack of cold chains. The entire Africa GreenTec-Group employs more than 120 people, about 90 working in Africa.

Profitability:
Our "invest instead of donate" approach aims to create profitable investment opportunities with smart business models. Through our investments in sustainable infrastructure solutions, 11 of the 17 sustainable goals are covered. Our innovative financial products allow for true impact investing.

Morals:
We promote moral-ethical values by working with our international staff as equals, promoting women's rights and respecting/accepting local cultural specificities. Our awareness-raising process, specifically targeting illiterate people, was developed in collaboration with village elders.

Solidarity and life quality:
The Sahel is particularly affected by the consequences of climate change and in some regions exist high levels of radicalisation by terrorist groups. Our ImpactSites® are civil solutions that proactively open up new perspectives for people and strengthen coexistence between different ethnic groups. Numerous success stories from our clients prove that Africa GreenTec's solutions have significantly and positively improved the lives of thousands of people.
