Ben started his career as an engineer in the automotive and heavy truck industries, before making a conscious decision to move into renewables in 2008. He started selling residential and commercial solar hot water and PV systems, before moving into Utility PV inverter sales in 2013. In early 2016, he began researching the energy storage market, and quickly realized how significant the energy storage market was going to become. He started his first full time energy storage position at the beginning of 2017, and joined the Sungrow Energy Storage team in February 2020. Ben lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and enjoys time in the mountains snowboarding, mountain biking and camping.
